Program Info
The Lake City Soccer Club (LCSC) promotes youth soccer in the Seattle area, focusing on a fun environment in which every child gets a chance to play. Through supportive coaching and an emphasis on good sportsmanship, LCSC seeks to create a positive experience for the player and a sense of confidence in his or her abilities, both on the field and off. We serve the North East portion of Seattle. Last year LCSC had around 500 players from micro to district level. LCSC is one of 15 clubs with over 13,000 players in the SYSA (Seattle Youth Soccer Association) which is a part of the State organization WSYSA (Washington State Youth Soccer Association).

MICRO SOCCER
U5-U6 Micros Academy
- Age 4 (U5) and Age 5 (U6)
- Season is Sept - Oct
- either M/W or T/Th sessions
- NO games on Saturdays
All players registering in the U5 or U6 category will play in the Micros Academy. Players will be registered with a coed team (max roster size 8 players) and a volunteer coach.
LCSC Micros Academy will be twice a week, either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thur. Coaches will accompany their team through a series of practice stations consisting of interactive, "foot on the ball" exercises designed to develop fundamental soccer skills while having fun. Professional coaches from Seattle United will supervise the program. Academy players will not participate in weekend league play.
The Academy style maximizes "touches" on the ball in a fun and engaging way that is developmentally appropriate for your beginning soccer player.
Players only need to provide shin guards and a water bottle to play. Players will receive a LCSC team T-shirt to wear during practice/games. Medals are awarded at the end of the season to all participants. Soccer cleats are recommended and a ball is helpful if players have them.
